Effie was the mother of Donald O'Connor, multi-talented entertainer - dancer, actor, singer. Donald was born in Chicago but considered Danville, IL, his hometown. In 1995 he brought his mother's cremains to Danville, and with the assistance of Henry Shouse had them interred at (then) St Patrick's (now) Resurrection Cemetery. In the photo, Effie's first husband, John O'Connor/ Connor is on the left. Effie is to John's right, in the space with no marker. To Effie's right is her daughter Arline O'Connor/ Connor. To Arline's right is her son William (Billy) O'Connor.

Regarding O'Connor/ Connor, Connor is on the headstones of John and Arline, but I believe the family name at that time was O'Connor. The family was in show business and O'Connor sounds better for that purpose.

Donald O'Connor died in 2003 and is interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, CA. He had a brother, Jack, and I do not know where Jack is at final rest.
