Starling Clark Robinson, 84, of Rarden, died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Portsmouth Receiving Hospital. Death following a lingering illness.

A retired farmer, Mr. Robinson had resided at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Marie South at Rarden.

Born Aug 17, 1874, near Rome, Ohio, he was a son of Starling C. and Rhoda Talbot Robinson. He was married to Lena Robinson, who preceded him in death March 3, 1950.

Surviving are four sons, Waldo of China Lake, Calif., Leo of Dayton, Ohio, Lowell of Tillicum, Wash. and Clark of Duarte, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. South and Mrs. Lucille Irving of Fairbanks, Calif.

Mr. Robinson was a member of Rarden Methodist Church.

Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Wilbur Stivers and Rev. Carl Little officiating. Burial is to follow in Memorial Burial Park at Wheelersburg under the direction Trelz Funeral Home of Peebles.

Friends may call at the residence of Mrs. Stout in Rarden after 7 p.m. Thursday.
