Funeral services for Billie Ross Lindsley Newman, of Carrollton, mother of Kay McMeans of Sulphur Springs (Texas) were held at 3:30pm Sunday, November 9, 1997, In Restland Wildwood Chapel. The Rev. Wayne Allen officiated.
Burial was in Restland Memorial Park (Dallas). Mrs. Newman died Friday, November 7. She was a teacher in the Carrollton-Farmer's Branch School District for 28 years.
Survivors include another daughter, Kim Carrigan of Carrollton; a sister, Joyce Kornegay of El Dorado, Arkansas; and four grandchildren, Jason Carrigan, Justin Carrigan, Lindsey McMeans, and Emily McMeans.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Andrew Newman, and her parents, R. A. and Corrine Lindsley.
