RITES HELD MONDAY FOR LINDA KAY EAKER, 2 YEARS OLD
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock at the General Baptist Church in Lutesville for Linda Kay Eaker, 2 year-old daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Truman Eaker of Lutesville who died Saturday in the St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau of Rocky Mountain fever. Rev. O. G. Liley conducted the services and burial was in the Baker Cemetery, with Baker service.
The child had been bitten in the ear by a tick, which was thought to have transmitted the disease. She had been ill nine days and was admitted to the hospital on Thursday of last week. She was born November 1, 1949 in Madison County, IL.
Surviving in addition the parents are a sister, Sharon and a brother, Gary Wayne. The grandparents Mr. And Mrs. A. Joe Eaker of Lutesville and Mr. And Mrs. Wesley Webo of Alton, Illinois.
