Services for Rosie Lee Bolin, longtime Lookeba resident, were Monday afternoon, November 14, at the Sickles Community Church with Bro. Tom Clifton officiating. Burial was in the Lookeba Cemetery, directed by Hinton Turner Funeral Home.
Rosie was born December 4, 1942, in Lawton, to Monroe and Minnie Lively Sullivan. She was united in marriage to Ray Bolin on November 19, 1965 in Anadarko. They moved from Lawton to Lookeba in 1967. Rosie worked as a cook at Lookeba Elementary school, for Birdsong Peanuts in Lookeba, at the Pioneer Center and Red River Transportation in Weatherford. She loved crafting and spent a lot of time quilting, crocheting and embroidering. She made quilts for all her grandchildren. She and Ray were members of the Scott Baptist Church.
Rosie passed away November 10, 2011, in Weatherford, at the age of 68. She was preceded by her husband; her brothers, James Holt, Larry Sullivan and Charles Sullivan; her sister, Bonnie Ruth Sullivan; and her parents.
She is survive by her children and their spouses, Vicky and Mark Gregory, and Sandra and Curtis Hibbert of Weatherford, and Billy and Janie Bolin of Weatherford; and her great-grandchildren and their spouses, Brandi and Dylan Gateley, Daniel and Amanda Hibbert and Josh and Georgiana Hibbert of Weatherford, Cody and Tamara Gregory of Tulsa, and Garrett, Paige and Abbie Bolin of Ryan. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Lane and Macie Gateley, Ainsley and Chloe Hibbert and Jayden Hibbert, all of Weatherford; and her siblings, Betty Farrow of Binger, Mary Free of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Pat Neil of DeVille, Louisiana, Jessie Sullivan of Weatherford, Angela Jenkins and husband Buddy of Blair, and Alvin Sullivan and wife Angela of Ryan; many other relatives and friends.
