We couldn't have ask for a better Mawmaw, she always had time for us, always cooked our favorite foods, and my poor Papa always slept on the couch when we were there so we could sleep with her. Although we always fought over who would get to sleep with her, and being I was the favorite, lol. I lucked out most of the time. It didn't matter what she had going on in her life her grand kids always came first. I just hope I can be the grandmother that she was for us when we were young. I love you so very much mawmaw! You are the best.

MawMaw was the best she could be with what she had to offer. Always strict yet loving, short and to the point and that's what made it her. She was known by many and loved by all. Those that say they didn't, never truly knew her. She took care of family first and would do anything she could for anyone else. Every year I looked forward to Christmas at her house for many reasons; the family cook great food, always knew everyone would be there, and sharing gifts was the best no matter what you got. I have been away for awhile, and missed her final days. Thankfully, the memories live on forever. For that reason, she is soon to have two great granddaughters she never met that will know her better than most. May peace be with you Mawmaw.

Go peacefully into the night,

Far from the livings sight.

Find that which you've lost,

For you have paid the cost…

Love you and farewell,

Bubba

Early this morning I watched my maw maw take her last breath. I wouldn't have had it any other way. She was always there for me. And i wanted nothing more than to be there until she was gone to be with paw paw. I'm going to miss those long talks and sleepovers we use to have. I just thank The Lord above he put her in my life. Maw maw is why I'm such a strong woman and great mother to my precious kids. I pray I can hold up to honor her wishes. Love you always and forever maw maw you were a great mother and grandmother.
