Thomas Earl "Tom" Call, 86, of Dresden, TN, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his residence in Dresden. Funeral services will be Monday, March 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Southside Church of Christ in Dresden with burial following in the Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Visitation will be Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home and will resume Monday, March 25, 2013 at 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Southside Church of Christ.
Mr. Call was born in Weakley County, TN to the late Maywood C. and Vera Dunn Call. He was the former owner of Standard Auto Supply in Dresden, and a member of Southside Church of Christ. He was a member of Dresden Elks Lodge 2373 and the Dresden American Legion Post 94. Mr. Call also served as treasurer on the Sunset Cemetery Association Board for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Call; a brother E. L. "Skinny" Call; and a sister, Jessie Bell Darnell.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene Owen Call of Dresden; a son, Barry (Valerie) Call of Palmetto, FL; a daughter, Millie (James) Newhouse of Palmersville, TN; three grandchildren, Brittany, Erica, and Willow; and a brother, Robert (Faye) Call of Michigan.
