Miss Jessie L. Wilson, 57, died in Faxton Hospital, Utica, Saturday. She had been ill since May and entered the hospital on August 11th. Death resulted from a heart condition. She was born April 23, 1883, a daughter of the late Oscar and Clara Betts Wilson and had been a teacher in the Port Leyden Central School for the past 17 years. She had also taught in New Jersey. Miss Wilson was a member of the Congregational Church, past matron of the Eastern Stars, a member of the
Ladies Aid and Missionary Societies, the Bethany Class, the Loyal Hearts and King's Daughters. Survivors are a niece, Mrs. B.H. Lawton, Rocky Hill, Conn.; a nephew, Norman E. Wilson, Bangor, Me.; and aunt, Mrs. Bertha Whitton, of this
place, and several cousins. The body was brought to the home of her aunt, Mrs. Bertha Whitton, and the funeral will be at 2 o'clock Tuesday at the Congregational Church, Rev. J. C. Wetzel conducting the service. Burial was in the family plot in the Port Leyden Cemetery.
