Steven R. Reese, 26, of Grayston Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Carlsbad, NM.

Steven R. Reese was born May 21, 1986 in Lake Havasu, AZ to Donnie R. and Lynette (Dorris) Reese. He moved to Carlsbad with his family as a young boy. Steven enjoyed riding dirt bikes and rodeoing. He married Crystal Whiteley on July 16, 2010 here in Carlsbad. Steven loved his job as a rough neck in the oil field. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lynette Pulis and brother, Michael Reese.
Survivors are his wife, Crystal Whiteley of Carlsbad, NM; son, Dillon Reese; two daughters: Sydney Whiteley, Chloe Whiteley; father, Donnie Reese of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Charles Sumner; sister, Barbara Reese of Carlsbad, NM; grandmother, Mollie Reese of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
