Beryle L. Waite, age 84, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at a Sioux Falls care center.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown with Reverend Steve Biswell of the Watertown Wesleyan Church officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel and on Monday prior to the services.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD.

Pallbearers will be Larry Kieso, Dean Kieso, Lowell "Tuffy" Gisselbeck, Duane Bullis, Bob Campbell and Howard Gunderson.

Beryle L. Waite was born to Morris and Mary (Sealy) Waite, at Thomas, South Dakota on January 12, 1929. He grew up in the Thomas/Hayti area, attending schools in the area as well as graduating from Watertown High School. He worked at the Watertown Public Opinion for several years and also the United States Postal Service in Watertown for many years.

In 1966 he married Ellen Abarr of Billings, Montana. After their marriage they continued to live in Watertown until moving to Mitchell, South Dakota where they lived until 2011 when they moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Beryle enjoyed baseball season and was a Minnesota Twins fan. He also enjoyed watching his favorite classic TV show, Texas Ranger. As Beryle got older, it was harder to get out and about so he enjoyed his retirement and being at home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Neal; an infant sister, Audrey; a sister, Bernice Waite Kieso; and a brother, Morris Waite, Jr.

Beryle is survived by his wife, Ellen; his son Scott, both of Sioux Falls; one granddaughter, Jazmin of Mt. Vernon, SD; one brother, Gary Waite and his wife Betty, of Billings, MT; one sister, Barbara Waite Watson of Wichita, KS; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
