FULLERTON - Johnnie Bruna, 72, of Rt. 2 Palmer, died Saturday, Feb. 6, at Central City. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Palmer's Funeral Home in Fullerton. The Rev. Mark Eichler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery at Cedar Rapids with military rites by the Belgrade American Legion post.

Mr. Bruna was born Feb. 17, 1915, in Greeley County, the son of John and Veronica M. Wanek Bruna. He grew up in Greeley and Nance counties and attended Nance County rural schools. The family moved to Farber, Mo., where he lived for several years before entering the U.S. Navy in 1942. He served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After his discharge in 1945 he returned to western Nance County where he farmed until his death. He never married. He had been a member of the Belgrade American Legion post.

Survivors include two nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
