OBITUARY :
MRS. EVELYN J. MILLER, 86, a resident of Quincy Village and formerly of Waynesboro, died at 1:32 A.M., Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the nursing home.

Born February 24, 1927 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Mary (Brandenburg) Burkholder. She lived her early life in the Hagerstown area.

Mrs. Miller worked at Freeman Shoe Factory for many years.

She was a member of Salem Church, and was active in supporting the Antietam Humane Society, both of Waynesboro. She was also an avid bowler who enjoyed playing bingo, Baltimore Orioles baseball, and Pittsburgh Steelers football.

She is survived by five grandchildren, Troy Miller of Waynesboro, Stacey Mickey of Chambersburg, Shelley Romano of Phoenixville, PA, Eric Harne of Waynesboro, and Craig Harne of Waynesboro; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Wayne Miller and Diane Harne.

Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Thursday afternoon, in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
