Mrs. Georgianna Kennedy, Beardstown, and a native of Waverly, died Thursday night, August 2, at a nursing home in Beardstown.
Deceased was born at Waverly December 31, 1863, the daughter of John and Sue Smith Agard. On February 13, 1895, she was married to Stephen Kennedy, at Jacksonville.
The family moved from Waverly to Beardstown in 1913.
Mr. Kennedy preceded his wife in death in 1942, as did one son, William Russell, at the age of seven.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Susan, now Mrs. George McLeish, of Hyattsville, Md.; two sons, Charles Albert Kennedy of Long Beach, Calif., and Wilbur Warren Kennedy of Beardstown; one sister, Mrs. William Sissons, of Palmyra; and twonieces,Mrs. Frances King of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Rose Andrew of Champaign.
Funeral services were held at the Cline Funeral Home in Beardstown Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. R. C. Gloss officiating.
Burial was in East cemetery, Waverly.
