Note:
I was facetiming my grandmother Marla Justice, who was the daughter of Bud Johnson. Bud's brother is William. So in relation to me, we're talking about my great grandfather's brother. Anyway, William's BIRTH name WAS Albert Thomas William Johnson. But he changed it legally very early on cause he did not like it much at all. So I have my grandmother's word, who's word came from her own father.

Greenfield - William A. Johnson, 89, of rural Greenfield, died 11 a.m. Friday, April 26, 1996, at the Jacksonville Convalescent Center.
He was born Feb. 10, 1907, in Hettick, the son of Albert and Elsie Roberts Johnson. He married Zona E. Spradlin Aug. 15, 1935, in Waverly. She preceded him in death Sept. 20, 1993.
He is survived by one son, Ralph D. (wife Judy) Johnson of Godfrey; three grandchildren; one sister, Jenny Weger of Chatham; three brothers, Charles M. Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla., Clem Johnson of Barry and Bud Johnson of Carlinville. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Mr. Johnson was a farmer until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of the Greenfield First Baptist Church, the Greenfield Lions Club, the Prairieland Heritage Club of Jacksonville and the Classic Iron Club, and was a past member of the Greenfield Sportsman's Club.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Shields Memorial Home in Greenfield with burial at the Waverly City Cemetery.
