CLAUDINE CHRISTY

Claudine A. Christy, 77, of 1825 Albia Road died at 4:45 a.m. April 20, 1985 at Ridgewood Care Center.
She was born July 21, 1907, in Ottumwa to Ross Albert and Nellie (Selix) King. She was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church. She married Earl E. Christy on June 22, 1929, in Ottumwa.
She is survived by her husband, three sons, James E., Robert H., and Richard C., all of Ottumwa; three daughters, Paddy J. Bauman of Ottumwa, Connie Wharton of Sterling, Va. and Judy Ortega of Clear Lake; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Wilma North of Ottumwa.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bible Baptist Church, the Rev. W.L. Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jerry, Jay, Jody, Gregory and Geoffrey Christy, and Douglas Bauman.
The casket will remain at Johnson Funeral Chapel until 11 a.m. Tuesday, when it will be taken to the church.
The family will be at the funeral chapel from 7-9 p.m. today.
A memorial has been established to her church.
