Elizabeth (My Grandmother) was born in Darmstdt Germany to
Ludwig Seemann and Elizabeth Vierheller Ludwig her father died shortly after her birth. At the age of 1-1/2 her mother remarried and she took her step fathers surname of Grau, (Jacob Grau), she had one half sister Eva Grau.
Elizabeth came to America in 1913 and settled in Salt Lake City, UT. Married James Fred McFarland on 20 Nov 1916. They had two children Pearl Elizabeth, and James Fred (my father).
