OBITUARY :
BURNS FATAL TO WOMAN, 77

MRS. VALLIE A. BEACHLEY, 77, of Middletown, died at the Frederick Memorial Hospital yesterday of severe burns sustained on Wednesday when her clothing caught on fire as she was burning some trash in an incinerator.

A neighbor attempted to put out the flames of the burning clothing but was unsuccessful. Mrs. Beachley lived alone.

She was the widow of Alvey Beachley of Middletown and daughter of the late Alfred and Jemima (Monigan) Welty of Washington County, Md.

She is survived by three daughters, Miss Lillin Beachley, Bridgeport, Conn.; Mrs. Margaret Huffer, Middletown; Mrs. Helen Zimmerman, Frederick; two sons, Frank, Braddock Heights and Richard, Middletown; one brother, Frank A. Welty, Funkstown; also 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The body is resting at the Gladhill Funeral Home in Middletown where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening. Services will be held from the funeral home at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon with the Rev. George Klinefelter officiating. Interment will be made in the Middletown Reformed Cemetery.

The family request flowers be omitted.
