She left this earth at 78 years of age to begin a new life with her Lord and closest friend, Jesus Christ. To those that knew her heart and saw her life, all could agree on one thing. her relationship with God was most important. Honoring him was her goal. Sylvia let you know that she trusted God for every provision, yet she knew she wasn't perfect and needed his forgiveness. Did Sylvia trust Jesus Christ? Here is one of the poems she wrote: "Who is Jesus" Jesus is my Savior, There are no words to say, How he guards and keeps me, Each moment of the day. Jesus is my Shepherd, He guides and cares for me, Leads me to living water, When blind, helps me to see. Jesus is my place, When trouble comes my way, I lean on him for help, When I have a cloudy day. Jesus is my joy, When my heart breaks right in two, Brings me joy and gladness, The Sun comes shining through. Jesus is my friend, When no one else to care, I can count on him, For He is always there. Jesus is my sunshine, To brighten up my day, When all my day looks gloomy, Let sunshine come my way. Jesus is my everything, On Him I can depend, He will love and care for me, Yes, to my journey end. **** Written on April 11, 1990.
