Clyde A. Holland, 77, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at his residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Internment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at the funeral home.
He was born to the late Ruben T. and Annie Greene Holland. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Nelle Holland; and son, Russell Earl Holland.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was retired from the Keebler Bakery. He was a member of the Atlanta Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Holland and J.R. Cox, McDonough; son and daughter-in-law, David Thornton and Alexandra Holland, Westerville, Ohio; son, Terry Holland, Gainesville; sisters, Annette Stidham, Hampton, Ala., and Eunice Wood, Willsonville, Ala.; and four grandchildren.
