Fairmount – Elnora Kay "Nora" Burton, 60, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in her residence. She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on November 7, 1952 to the late Paul and Dimple (Evans) Burton. Nora retired after 38-1/2 years from the Marion VA, where she worked as a psychiatric nursing assistant. She was a member of Fairmount Church of God and enjoyed traveling and cruising internationally. Nora enjoyed volunteer work with Special Olympics and veterans causes, and loved live music concerts. One of her favorite activities was spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Amber Dawn Burton Small (Jay Smith) Muncie; sister, LouAnn (Bud) Bennett, Upland; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; many cousins; special friends, John William Spaulding III, Karen Smith, Edna Franks, Kathy Kirkland, Linda Petway, Irma Smith, Michael Young; and cat, Katie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Dimple Burton; brother, Ned Burton; sister, JoNell Trent, brother, Frank Burton; sisters, Mary Jane Hamm, Margie Henderson; niece, Barb Owen, and special friends, Mary Jane Draper, and Vicki Elkins.
