She was the daughter of John M. Dunbar and Mary Bostic.
She married Henry Arnott.
Mrs. Carrie Dunbar Arnott, 84, of Prosperity, died Saturday at 6 a.m. in a Beckley hospital after a long illness.
Born Dec. 24, 1902, at Union, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Mary Bostic Dunbar.
Mrs. Arnott was a retired school teacher for Monore and Raleigh counties, a member of the United Methodist Temple. She was active in the Sally McGinnis Bible Class, the 4-H Club Leaders, the Prosperious Hills Garden Club, the Home Demonstration Club, the Raleigh County Teachers Association.
Survivors include her husband, Henry O. Arnott; two sons, Charles Henry and Ralph Edward Arnott, both of Beckley; two daughers, Mary Elizabeth Wagner of Lorain, Ohio, and Norma Jean Wendt of North Palm Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren,
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Temple in Beckley with the Rves. Frank E. Bourner and Andrew L. Davis officiating. Entombment will be in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at Prosperity.
Friends may call today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Melton Mortuary in Beckley, and at the church one hour prior to services.
pallbearers will be grandsons and members of the Mens Bible Class of the United Methodist Temple.
