Henry Logan Hyman, 65, of the Mimbres, died May 12 at the Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City. Mr. Hyman was born Sept. 26, 1918 in Clovis the son of Robert and Lorena Carnahan Hyman. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Army Air Corps. Survivors include his wife, Betty of Mimbres; a daughter, Sherwyn Smith of Clovis; two grandsons, Chad and Byron Smith of Clovis; onegrand-daughter, Shanna Smith of Clovis and one great-grandson, Jeremy Smith of Clovis. Funeral services were held May 14 at the Curtis-Bright Chapel with Rev. Rod Chandler, pastor of the Rio Mimbres Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed at the Fort Bayard National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Hugh Jones, Cecil Edwards, Mark Ploss, Jake Osborne, Devere McClanahan, Glen Dunivan and Marshal Basham. Arrangements by Curtis-Bright Funeral Home.
