Janice L. Frye, 78, died March 21, 2013 at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born March 16, 1935 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Ralph and Verna Dressler DeWater. She was a graduate of Hutchinson High School. A Hutchinson resident most of her life, she and her husband owned Mom's Attic, Hutchinson. She had also worked for Dillon's Bakery. She was a member of Crossroad's Christian Church. She married Donald Frye on October 4, 1952 in Hutchinson. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include 2 sons, Donald Frye, Jr., Hutchinson and Randy Frye, Lawrence, 2 daughters, Lori Kerwood, Towanda, and Lisa Taylor, Hutchinson, a brother, Russell DeWater, South Hutchinson, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson, with Wayne Pittman presiding. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be held from 1-9PM Friday, with the family present from 6-8PM that evening, all at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Christian Church, in care of the funeral home.
