Margaret Sue Chandler, 99, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 4, 2021.

Margaret was born in Van Alstyne Texas on November 27, 1921, to J. L. and Ruby Olds. She married O. D. Chandler on August 28, 1938, and together had 6 children. She was always an example to her family and will be remembered for her Godly character and for her loving kindness. She prayed fervently daily for each member of her family. Margaret enjoyed simple things like gardening and cooking for her family. She was a nurse by profession and worked for 25 years as a nurse at All Saints Episcopal Hospital in Fort Worth. She went onto work as a nurse at the Arbor House in Weatherford for another 8 years before retiring a second time at age 87. In 2003, at age 82, Margaret received the "Employee of the Year Award" from Arbor House. Most of all, Margaret was devoted to her faith and to family.

Margaret is survived by her children, Wanda Sue (Jimmy) Caldwell, Norma Jean (Johnny) Phillips, Ruby Ann (Rodney) Havins, and Quin (Kimberly) Chandler; her 12 grandchildren, Michael Caldwell, Mark Caldwell, Douglas Phillips, Jerry Phillips, Scott Havins, Jennifer Puckett, Todd Chandler, Karen Sharp, Tye Chandler, Jayson, Chandler, Darla Paige, and Jayden Chandler; by 30 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and by her brother Jack Olds, and sister, Sally Walters.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, O. D. Chandler; her sons, David Chandler and Kenneth Chandler; great-great-grandson Austin Blake Chandler; by her brothers, J. L. Olds, Jr., Truman Olds, James Olds, her sister Lois Dickson; and by her grandson-in-law Kevin Puckett and granddaughter-in-law Paula Chandler.
