Glenn F. Hunter, 63, of Ripley, went home to be with the Lord on Friday evening, March 15, 2013.


Glenn was born September 4, 1949 at Rockcastle, son of the late John Henry and Alberta Carney Hunter. He was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Ripley and enjoyed farming, especially going to the cattle sales and the Jackson County Junior Fair.


He was a professional truck driver with over 20 years of service with the Carl E Smith Company of Sandyville. Glenn retired from Francis Brothers Oil and Gas in Ripley.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Bourgeois Hunter.


Surviving is his wife, Tammy C. Hunter; Sons, Glenn F. Hunter Jr. (Briggette), of Ripley, Ben Hunter (Missy), of Ravenswood; Jacob Hunter of Ripley; daughters, Becky Sinclair (Dave), of Ripley and Hanni E. Hunter of Ripley; Special son, Jimmy Smith; D.J. and Mike Jarrell of Madison; Grandchildren, Brittney,, Jessica, Hillary, Logan and Emily Hunter, Justin, Josh and Katie Sinclair, Bailey and Devin Hunter, Ally, B.J. and Piper Jarrell; Brother, Conard Hunter (Sherry), of Florida.


Glenn was gone too soon and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.


A funeral service for Glenn will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Ben Skeens officiating.


Interment will follow the service at the Blaine Cemetery, Cottageville.
