On that date, Sergeant Moore's crew flew a night mission to parachute vitally needed supplies to a beleaguered friendly garrison which was isolated and under attack. Sergeant Moore's crew successfully delivered the cargo into the tiny drop zone while flying thought intense, continuous small arms and automatic weapons fire.
