A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday for Tracy resident Mara Joann Allen, 49, who died at Sutter Roseville Medical Center in Roseville on Tuesday.
Born in Bakersfield, Mrs. Allen lived in Tracy 14 years, and previously lived in Hayward.
She was a human resources supervisor for Acer America Corp. in San Jose.
Mrs. Allen was a parishioner of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and was an avid bowler in Hayward. She was a good cook who loved the holidays, especially Christmas.
She also enjoyed Disneyland and liked Mickey Mouse.
She loved her family and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother and friend to many.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband of 14 years, Mike Allen of Tracy; son Michael Allen Jr. of Tracy; father James Cunningham of Tracy; five siblings, James Cunningham III, and his wife, Jeanne, of Tracy, Collette Placido, and her husband, Bob, of Turlock, John Cunningham, and his wife, Amy, of Hayward, Tim Cunningham, and his wife, Juanita, of Union City, and Jeannine Akers, and her husband, Ron, of Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Joann Cunningham.
Tuesday's Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Visitation will be observed Monday from 1 to 7 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.
