OBITUARY:
The funeral for John Cook, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Danner Funeral Home, Abilene, the Rev. Harold Holland officiating. Burial will be in Abilene Cemetery.

Mr. Cook died Sunday at the Mid America Nursing Home, Abilene. He was born Aug. 14, 1885, near Hope and spent his adult life farming in the Abilene area. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Dickinson County Farm Bureau.

Surviving are a son, John D., Abilene; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Kugler, Sun City, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Whitebread, Abilene and Mrs. Mabel Fink, Lakeland, Fla.; three brothers, Millard, Abilene; Harold, Redding, Calif.; and Elmer, Chicago; six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

His wife, Anna, died in 1958.

The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church. (Salina Journal, Monday, 10 March 1980).
