Homer was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Willis, and is survived by sons, Jim (Mary), Randy (Robin), and Larry; a daughter Susan; sister, Rachel; brother, Dale; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Homer served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired with more than 20 years of service. He then went to work for the US Postal Service, later retiring with 23 years service.
Homer enjoyed fishing and developed a passion for gardening later on in life. He was a devoted husband, father and friend, and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will take place from 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM Saturday, January 9, at Mansion Memorial Funeral Home, 1400 36th Avenue East, Ellenton, FL. Interment will follow in Mansion Memorial Park.
