Monnie M. Baker, 70, of Blountville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Washington County, Tennessee to the late Mary Sells Hall and Raymond Hall. Monnie was a devoted member of Wheeler United Methodist Church and she dearly loved her church family. She had recently retired from working with her Pardner's Resturant family after 28 years of loving and dedicated service. Monnie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was most happy when her family could gather around her table and enjoy a meal she had prepared for them. Cooking was her passion and she enjoyed the friendship of many. Words cannot describe how deeply she will be missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant son, Randall B. Baker, a brother, Hansel Hall, and two sisters, Freda Norris and Joy Gilliam.

She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 52 years, Roy B. Baker; three sons, Jeff Baker and wife Libby, Boyce Baker, Vance Baker and wife DeeDee; grandchildren, Bryan Baker, Brittany Baker, Katie Baker, Wes Baker, Amanda Baker, and Adam Strouth; one great-grandchild, Brydon Baker; Brother, Richard Hall and wife, Joyce; brothers-in-law, Harold Norris and Wayne Gilliam, and several nieces and nephews.

The family of Monnie Baker will recieve friends on Friday, November 23, 2012 at Wheeler United Methodist Church from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.with funeral services following at 8:00 P.M. with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Rick Norris, Hank Hall, Tom Hall, Wes Baker, Andy Hall, Steve Baker, Tony Gilliam. Honorary Pallbearers are her three sons, Jeff Baker, Boyce Baker, Vance Baker.
