Catherine I. 'Kay' Pease, 89, passed away March 19, 2013 at Villa St. Francis. Visitation will be held from 9:00- 10:00am Saturday, March 23 at St. Elizabeth Church, 75th and Main St., Kansas City, MO followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Alzheimer's Association. Kay was born June 9, 1923 in Rowena, South Dakota, to Andrew and Bertha Cunningham. She married P. Emery Pease, Jr. and in 1953 they moved to Kansas City where they raised their five children. Kay worked at the Country Club Pharmacy on the Plaza for several years before retirement. She loved entertaining her family and friends, playing bridge and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Paula Pease; five brothers and five sisters. Kay is survived by her daughters, Barbara Schmidt, Beverly Wiebeld, Teresa Warner and husband Roy; her son, David Pease and wife Molly; a brother, Michael Cunningham and wife Illa; a sister, Patricia Jones; 10 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
