Robert Wayne "Bobby" Stinnett, 64, of Garrard County, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the V A Medical Center in Louisville. Born, August 7, 1948 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late James Corbett and Mattie Upton Stinnett. He was a U.S. Army Veteran where he served in the Vietnam War and his last employment had been as a XPDX Forklift Operator in the shipping and receiving department, he retired from working in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons: David Wayne Stinnett of Harriman, Tennessee and James Gentry Stinnett, a active duty Marine stationed in Okinawa, Japan; one daughter: Tammy Leigh Willoughby of Millersburg; his former wife: Cathy Lee; two brothers: James B. Stinnett of Harrodsburg, Larry Russell Stinnett of Stanford; two sisters: Mary Francis Major of Beuna Vista and Rebecca Ann Smith of Harrodsburg and seven grandchildren: Eli Puckett, Jeremiah Stinnett, Autumn Stinnett, Brittany Stinnett, Brandon Stinnett, Joshua Stinnett, and Jacob Stinnett and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers: William Thomas Stinnett and David Lee Stinnett.Memorial services with Military Honors will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville.
