Karen L. Gentzler STOVERSTOWN- Karen L. (Hoover) Gentzler, 58, died at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at York Hospital.

She was the wife of Nevin L. Gentzler to whom she was married 34 years. Viewings will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Irwin Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 2173 Stoverstown Road, Spring Grove.

The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with her pastor, the Rev. Dennis L. Weidler officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Union Cemetery in Stoverstown.

Mrs. Gentzler was born November 16, 1945, in Bellefonte, Centre County. She was the daughter of Melvin Hoover of Moshannon, Pa. and Grace (Rhoads) Harbold of York. She was a step daughter of Lucille Hoover of Moshannon and the late Ervin Harbold.

She was a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and was currently employed at Margaret Moul Home in York. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Stoverstown.

Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Robin Gentzler of York; three grandchildren in her care, Devon, Kayla, and Kayce Gentzler all at home; five brothers, Kevin Hoover of Pleasant Gap, Centre County, Keith Hoover of Moshannon, Kenneth Hoover of Washington State, Quinton Hoover of Bellefonte, and Kory Hoover of Norfolk, Va.; a step brother, James Harbold of Dover; and a step sister, Linda Arminger of Queenstown, Md.

She was preceded in death by a step brother, Steven Burkholder. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Special Gifts Fund of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 2173 Stoverstown Road, Spring Grove, PA 17362. Memories may be shared at www.irwinfuneralhome.com.
