Funeral services for Rhonda Peterson age 62 of West Point, NE will be at the Grace Lutheran Church in West Point, NE. Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Closed casket visitation will be at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point.
Rhonda passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013 at her home.
Rhonda Raye Pedersen was born to Roy and Florence (Claussen) Pedersen on April 17, 1950 in Rock Rapids, IA. She attended Central Lyon Community Schools and the University of Iowa.
On November 28, 1969 she was married to Terry Peterson in Rock Rapids, IA.
After moving to West Point in 1983, she started working at Wisner Insurance and Reality in 1984, where she became sole owner in 1991. Rhonda sold the business in the fall of 1999 and continued to work in the real estate business for Ortmeier and Associates in West Point until the time of her death.
Two of Rhonda's passions were playing bridge and playing golf. She was the club champion multiple times as well as claiming numerous couples championships with her husband, Terry.
Survivors include-Husband-Terry Peterson of West Point; daughter- Angi (Chris) Klitz of West Point; grandsons-Nate, Connor and Ross Klitz; mother-Florence (Pedersen) Menage of Rock Rapids, IA; sisters-Cheryl (Craig) Anderson of Phoenix, AZ and Kathy (Bill) Spyksma of Des Moines, IA; brother- Russell (Margo) Pedersen of Rock Rapids, IA; mother-in-law- Pauline Peterson of Bozeman, MT; brother-in-law- Joel (Esther) Peterson of Bozeman, MT; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends- Connie (Dr. Matt) Felber and family of Pender, NE.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father-Roy Pedersen, son-Ross Peterson, and father-in-law-Robert Peterson.
