David Bruce Cox, 66, of Peoria passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born June 1, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN to Robert Willard and Margaret Mae Holmes Cox.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Lora Forshier and Alice Cox.
He is survived by his daughters, Marci (Payton) Jett and Adriann Cox; sisters, Ruth (Bob) Schafer and Marva Pittman; brother, Dale (Chris) Cox; numerous nieces, nephews and his family at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
David worked as a Surgical Technologist for Methodist Medical Center in Peoria for 38 years retiring in 2010. David was an organ donor with Gift of Hope. He served in the U.S. Navy. He loved going to breakfast with his friends and writing letters. He was an avid winemaker and liked working outside and watching birds.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 2 - 5pm at The Contemporary Art Center of Peoria, 305 SW Water Street.
Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or PAWS in his name.
