Died August 19, 1947 in a hospital in Evansville, Indiana; his father at 4 years of age came with his parents from Tennessee by ox cart and settled in Frog Island community. Married Ruth Powell April 24, 1918. Leaves wife; 3 children Herbert, Alberta, & Carroll Draper; sister Mrs. Fleeta Templeman of Frog Island community, Brothers William B., Clarence E., of Frog Island community, E. F. of McLeansboro, Bert E. Draper of where abouts unknown; Aunts, Mrs. Louvin Draper & Ida Crouch. Interred Olive Branch Cemetery, Wayne County Illinois. He was a teacher, farmer, trader, church worker and politician.
