Billy Gene Booher, age 81, of Piney Flats, TN went home to be with the Lord at 11:36 p. m. Thursday (May 31, 2012) at Bristol Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Bristol, Virginia on April 10, 1931, a son of the late Robert "Rob" and Berlin Hopkins Booher, he has resided in this area since his early forties having lived in Indiana and Ohio.

Mr. Booher was of the Baptist Faith and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Booher.

Survivors include his wife Mary Kate Kidd Booher of the home; two daughters, Belinda Yost and fiancée Gary Groves of Toledo, Ohio and Kathy Parthemore and husband Doug of Huron, Ohio; a twin sister, Betty Terry of Sandusky, Ohio; four grandchildren, Paul Yost, Peter Yost, Doug Parthemore, II and Bryan Parthemore; one great-granddaughter, Brittany Yost; cousins, James "Buddy" McDivett and wife Louise, Ernie Hopkins and wife Peggy, Loretta Birdwell and Martha Davidson; nephews-Junior Booher and wife Karen and Billy Booher.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p. m. Monday (June 4, 2012) at Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 2630 Highway 75, Blountville, TN 37617.

Services will follow at 2:00 p. m. Monday in the chapel with Pastor Don Morrell officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Paul Yost, Gary Groves, Jackie Cordle and Doug Parthemore, II. Honorary pallbearers will be Peter Yost, Doug Parthemore and Bryan Parthemore.
