Jackie Doyle Richey, 35, died at 3:50 p.m., Monday in a local hospital.
Richey, was found dead with his face submerged in bathtub water hours after he was admitted to the hospital Monday afternoon.
Peace Justice Walter Grice, who said Richey was found at ?:55 p.m. Monday, has not ruled in the death, pending an autopsy by the pathologist in Abilene.
Services are pending at Nalley-Pickle Funeral Home.
Mr. Richey was born Oct. 2, 1939, in Stanton. He moved to Big Spring about 30 years ago and attended Big Spring public schools. He was employed by Giant Food stores for a number of years and for the past five years has been in the maintenance department at Cosden Oil & Chemical Company's plant here.
Mr. Richey was a member of the Crestview Baptist Church. He was married to Miss Clara Gilbert July 29, 1960.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Sandra Richey and Rebecca Richey, and a son, Jackie Richey Jr., all of the home; his father, M. G. Richey, Big Spring; four sisters, Mrs. Gay Nell Loenard, Miss Bobby Richey and Mrs. Mary Sue Woods, all of Big Spring; and Mrs. Billie Holland, San Angelo.
