Albert John Ream, 61, of 8th Ward Dies; Ill for past yearWas Turn Foreman in
Cambria Plant-- Funeral on Tuesday
Albert John Ream, 61, of 1147 Edson Avenue died at 1:05 AM at Mercy Hospital
where he was admitted as a medical patient on Sunday. In ill health Al Ream
had not worked during past year He had been employed for 44 years in the Cambria
Plant and over half that period had been turn foreman in the Franklin Blooming
Mill.
Friends will be received at the Stephen J. Conway and Sons Funeral Home. A
Solemn High Mass of Requiem will be sung at the Church of the Visitation of
which Mr. Ream was a member at 9:00 AM Tuesday by Rev. Father James H. Hebron,
Rector. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
Mr. Ream was born in Johnstown. A son of the late Michael and Genevieve (Kintz)
Ream. He and the former Susan Burns were united in marriage at St. Columbas
Catholic Church 38 years ago (about 1906).
Surviving in addition to the widow are the children, Genevieve wife of ??pear
Sheridan, 546 Linden Avenue, Pvt. James C. Ream, last heard from several days
ago at port of embarkation, intermarried with Florence Kuhn, Violet Street.
Catherine wife of Joseph C. Heller, 316 Cedar Street, Mary Louise at home, wife
of Pfc. Charles J. Stutzman stationed at Fort Riley Kansas, and Pfc. Albert
John, Jr., stationed in the Pacific, intermarried with Charlotte Pfefferl, 720
Glenwood Avenue. Mr. Ream also leaves six grandchildren. He was a brother of
Julius Ream who resides on Washington Street.
Mr., Ream was affiliated with the Knights of Columbus, a fourth degree member,
and was a member of the Altar Society of the Church of the Visitation and also a
member of the Bethlehem Foremens Club.
