Lowville - Douglas B. Cooke, 52, of the Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility, formerly of Trinity Avenue, died Monday, Jan 3, 2000. Funeral services will be Friday, with Rev. Paul C Bailey, Rector, officiating. Spring burial will be in the Lowville Rural Cemetery. Mr. Cooke is survived by his mother, Louise of Lowville, NY; his aunt, Mrs. Carol Rutan of Fort Myers, FL and three cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Richard Cooke, who died in 1987, and his
grandparents, Levi and Clara Gaylord. Born May 6, 1947, in Lowville, NY, a son of Richard and Louise Gaylord Cooke, Mr. Cooke was handicapped from birth and lived with both his parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi-Gaylord on Trinity
Avenue, LowviUe, NY. He attended special education classes, also working at the ARC workshop. He was a life-long summer resident of Point Vivian near Alexandria Bay, NY. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Lowville, NY
