She was born Jan. 3, 1921, in Peason, La., to the late Samuel and Lucille St. Andre. She taught in the Henderson schools for 25 years. Upon retirement, she pursued her love of painting. She took many trips with her friends to interesting places to continue to develop her talent as an artist. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Henderson, for more than 60 years. Mrs. Riley loved her church and church family, just as she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Riley, Sept. 2, 1957, as well as a brother, Paul St. Andre, a sister Juanita Turk, and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Riley.

Survivors include sons, Horace E. Riley Jr. and wife Chanda of Dalworthington Gardens, and Ret. Col. Sidney E. Riley and wife Dolly of Jacksonville: daughter, Rebecca and husband Dr. Paul Glass of Jacksonville: sisters, Duryal Parker of Alexandria, La., and Sammie Gregory of Valdosta, Ga.: brother, Bendal St. Andre of Pineville, La.: grandsons, Jay Riley, Corey Riley, Joshua Riley, Christopher Glass and Bryan Glass: granddaughters, Kathryn Lee and husband Andrew and Beth Glass; and three great-granddaughters, Reagan Riley, Emily Riley and Sydney Riley.

In lieu of flowers, it is the family's request that a donation be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering for International Missions in her memory.
