Mrs. Pamela Jean Cooke Tilley, 52, of 409 Worth Street, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Mrs. Tilley was born November 26, 1954, in Surry County, to Ossie Booker Cooke and the late Hersey Cooke.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Terry and Lisa Tilley and Travis Tilley, all of Mount Airy, and Tim and Stacy Tilley of Westfield; seven grandchildren, Courtney Tilley, Kaylee Tilley, Tanner Tilley, Timmy Tilley, Jr., Kaleb Tilley, Tyson Tilley, and Trace Tilley, all of Westfield; her mother, Ossie Booker Cooke of Mount Airy; two brothers, Ronnie Cooke and Danny Cooke, both of Mount Airy; a half-sister, Bridgett Cooke of Westfield; a half-brother, Bobby Cooke of Westfield; and a special friend, Gary Melton of Mount Airy.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Tilley was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Craig Tilley, Sr.; and a brother, Ricky Cooke.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by Tim Tilley, and burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Ossie Booker Cooke, 115 Myers Drive, Mount Airy.
