Her first husband was Heman Rew, by whom she had four children, three of whom are living.
Her life in the latter-day work began in 1869, and in 1873 she united with the Reorganized Church of Christ, being baptized by Elder D. B. Rasey in Outagamie County, Wisconsin. She removed to Decatur County, Iowa, in 1880, and became numbered with the Lamoni branch, remaining steadfast in the truth unto the end.
It was her request that Bro. H. A. Stebbins should preach her funeral sermon, but as he was absent at the time of her death, it was not preached until October 19th. Bro. A. S. Cochran assisted in the services at that time.
