Bernice A. Boothby Eastman, "Bunny," age 92, formerly of Rochester, died Feb. 16, 2013, at Riverside Rest Home in Dover.

Born Aug. 15, 1920 in Penobscot, Maine, the daughter of Elwood and Alberta (York) Ginn, she had lived in Farmington, for years, lived in Union, from 1971-1989 and resided in Rochester since 1989. A graduate of Portsmouth High School, Class of 1938, she was formerly employed at Eastern Air Devices and Charles Varney Insurance Agency in Rochester.

Bunny was a 7th Degree member of the Henry Wilson Grange, Pomona State and National Grange and Order of the Eastern Star.

Widow of the late Lloyd B. Boothby and the late Harry H. Eastman, she is survived by one son, Douglas (Christine) Boothby of So. Lebanon, Maine; three daughters, Deborah (Norman) Poitras of Somersworth, Rebecca (Barry) Burns, The Villages, Florida, Susan Strong of Portland, Ore.; eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a half-sister, Arlene Cloutier of Maine; also several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Ginn, and her half-brother David Ginn, and two grandchildren, Robert Burns and Ricky Strong.

As per her request, there will be no services. Interment will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Riverside Rest Home Activity Fund or Wentworth Home Care and Hospice. Arrangements by Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central St., Farmington, NH.
