*Lyle Elmer Penfold was born on December 12, 1923, in Denver, Colorado, his father, Verle Wesley, was 23 and his mother, Joy Hazel (McLachlan) Penfold, was 17. Just out of school in 1942 Lyle, enlisted into the United States Navy and served in action during World War II. He married Dorothy Ruth Parmenter, the daughter of Rowland Edmund, and Margaret (Hewlett) Parameter, they had two sons together .  In 1955 He married Sherry Carlyle Pierce and with this marriage received two step children that he raised as his own. Lyle, had a Love and passion for restoring old cars and he liked working with his hands.  On the week-ends he and Sherry, enjoyed attending car shows, boating events or just spending time with their family together.  Lyle was an Entrepreneur, he owned and operated an optical shop as well as starting a boat manufacturing.  Lyle, passed away of Lung Cancer on February 10, 1999, at home in Garden Grove, with family and friends around him, at the age of 75 and was buried with full Military Honors at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside California.
