Margaret R. Walls, 81, of Plant City, and formerly of Salt Springs, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at Five Oaks Rest Home in Welaka.
She was a native of Plant city and had spent 20 years in Salt Springs. She served 35 years with Lykes Brothers Meat Packing prior to retiring. She enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Laura Adams Hough; brothers, Bob, Leo, Johnny, Edmond and Francis Hough; sisters, Christina Bishop and Harriet Burger; grandsons, George Alred Jr. and Matthew Alred.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, J. B. Walls of Plant City; three daughters, Elizabeth Tillis of Valrico, Annette Leavine of Apollo Beach, and Margie Alred of Turkey Creek; two sons, James M. Saranko and Robert Thomas Saranko, both of Plant City; a sister, Theresa Bevins of Lake Kerr; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Monday, March 4, 2002, at Masters Funeral home in Palatka with Rev. Robert Hines officiating. Interment will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 4 Mar 2002.)
