Married Darrell Baker September 10, 1941 and they made their home in Tacoma.

Marie was PTA President three times, receiving the Golden Acorn Service award.

-Lambda Alpha Chapter of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority

Was active with:

-Ancient Order of United Workmen

She marched with the nationally recognized Ladies precision drill team, and was honored by being elected Supreme Master Workman of the A.O.U.W., its highest national office.

From 1970 until 1990, Marie was owner/manager of the Bon Marche Ticket Office, running the box office and event staffing for nearly all the concerts, shows and sporting events in Tacoma. Her career was featured in a News Tribune article in Jan. 1989.

Her home was always filled with love, laughter, fellowship, and many wonderful friends.

Died after suffering a stroke.
