She was the daughter of the late William J. and Marguerite E. (McSherry) Furney.
Ms. Green worked for the Green Acres Home for many years, and then later worked at Gettysburg Hospital as an LPN, for 25 years prior to retiring in November 1987. She was a 1946 graduate of Gettysburg High School and a 1960 graduate of Franklin Township County Nurses School. She was also active for a number of years with the Boy Scout Troop and Club Scout Pack at St. James Lutheran Church, Gettysburg. She attended Gettysburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Reeves of Gettysburg; a son, Samuel E. Green of Gettysburg; two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
