Leona F. Lowe, 78, of 1936 N. Washington St., Janesville, died at Friendship Manor on Saturday, Dec. 10, 1994.
She was born in Mitchell Co., Iowa, on Dec. 11, 1915, the daughter of Eugene H. and Gertrude (Dellage) Gray. She married Arthur Lowe on March 23, 1937; he preceded her in death June 22, 1981. Mrs. Lowe retired from Wisconsin Turf Equipment Co. in 1977 where she had been employed for many years as a bookkeeper. Leona was a very active member of Church of the Nazarene, having served on the church board, as church secretary and as a Sunday school teacher.
Surviving are four children; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Verne (Elsie) Gray of Clearbrook, Minn. Leona was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a grandson, Kriss Lowe; three sisters and seven brothers.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 13, 1994, at Church of the Nazarene, Janesville, with Rev. Michael Travis officiating. Burial was in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the church. Schneider Funeral Homes handled the arrangements.
