Susan passed away peacefully in her sleep at home. She was 77. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 1957. She had been married to Dr. Gavin Barr Sr. for 55 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, The Daughter of the American Revolution, Liberty Bell Chapter, The American Cancer Society, The Council of Republican Women, The Society of the Arts, Allentown Art Museum, Northampton County Medical Society Auxiliary, Lehigh County Medical Society Auxiliary, and the Channel 39 Board of Directors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Joseph McAdoo. She is survived by: Her husband, Dr. Gavin Chaundy Barr Sr., two daughters, Susan Hoffman and Jessie Paul, and two sons, Dr. Gavin Barr Jr., and Bryce Barr, plus 15 grandchildren.
